Phil King
Phil King was a Base Photographer in the Air Force where he did pictures for the SR-71, the fastest plane in the world. He taught photography at the State University of New York at New Paltz where he got his Bachelors degree.
Phil drove a horse and carriage for three years and remains a licensed Saint Augustine tour guide.
Phil King recently retired from three years as case manager of the St. Francis House homeless shelter. He remains a monthly history writer for Old City Life magazine and member of Saint Augustine Historical Society. This book is based on a series of his articles in Old City Life magazine.
Completing Saint Augustine Carriage Tour fulfills a long-term project for Phil, who is thankful for the many years of reliable service provided by his companion, Thornton.
