Q: What do you mean by "co-op" publishing?

Cooperative (Co-op) publishing is a way for small presses and authors to get together and produce a product (a book) at a fraction of what it costs the "big houses." Traditional publishers make much of the fact that it often costs them $100,000 or more just to get a new book published. Co-op presses submit that the author should have enough confidence in his/her book and marketing skills to put up some of the initial set-up money. Both the author and publisher then have a vested interest in the book selling.

Q: I noticed you are an "author-friendly" publisher. What does that mean?

We at ClearView Press, Inc. feel that over the decades publishers have taken advantage of authors. Our commitment is to bring as much in the way of royalties to the author as soon as possible.

Q: What genres do you publish?

CVP publishes nearly all genres. We determine what we wish to publish based on content and the author's insightful determination of a target market with a plan to reach this market. We believe good books come in all genres, but that the ability to produce good, successful books lies in the hands and minds of the authors themselves. Genre does not produce a successful book. Good writing and a kick-butt marketing plan decides success.

Q: How do I submit my manuscript?

ClearView Press, Inc. does not accept hard copy manuscripts. A query process for submissions is outlined on our Submission Guidelines page. Please, follow those guidlines! If you have, or are in the process of writing a manuscript, and are interested in seeing it through to publication, send us a query! We are always interested in working with talented authors!
