Michael Ray King

Michael Ray King Michael Ray King grew up in a small town in West Virginia and spent the first twenty-two years of his life in his home state's lovely mountains. Upon graduation from college in 1981 he moved to Raleigh, North Carolina, where he lived for the next seventeen years. During this time he met and married his wife, Bobbie.

In 1998 Michael relocated his family to Florida, and now lives in Palm Coast. Michael and Bobbie have six children ranging from four to twenty-eight-years-old, as of the publication of his book, Fatherhood 101: Bonding Tips for Building Loving Relationships in 2008. While his passions include basketball, bicycling and writing, his love of mountains will someday carry him back "home". He loves snow skiing with his entire family and playing basketball every chance he gets. Bobbie and two of their daughters love horseback riding, and one day the family aspires to have a rural home with horses, dogs and crackling fireplaces. Long walks on crisp autumn days are some of Michael's favorite moments in life.

Michael is currently working on three non fiction books, one being the forthcoming The Writing Life (due to be published in May, 2010) a book that breaks writing down to its fundamental challenges. He is also working on three fiction titles including the upcoming Writing is Easy (Openavein.com), a short story collaboration with three other writers due out in May, 2010. He may be contacted at michaelrayking.com.
